Thursday, May 26, 2011 – This Wednesday, on a specially designed area on the roof of the Montreal Palais des Congrès, the OMHM Foundation was officially launched.

With more than a hundred people gathered for the occasion, guests were delighted to learn more about the three projects to be implemented in 2011 with the Foundation’s support, including the Meunier Tolhurst local Community Housing Project (and their three representatives in the picture). These projects aim to encourage young people from public housing projects to persevere in their studies, and to be able to reach their full potential and become elements of positive social change.
Founded in 2002, the OMHM is a nonprofit organization resulting from the merger of 15 municipal housing authorities, all of which intervened on the island of Montreal, whose mission is to improve the living conditions of low or moderate income individuals and families by providing quality subsidized housing and promoting community involvement and initiatives.
Earlier this spring, Solutions Graffiti was chosen to be the OMHM’s official supplier, with the mandate to remove graffiti on all buildings managed by the organization. By providing a cleaner and more secure living environment, Solutions Graffiti intends to help the OMHM’s mission become a reality; including facilitating the success of the inspiring young people the OMHM aims to help.
